Eco-Innovation in Digital Marketing: Our ClimatePartner Partnership Story
At PAPER & PAGE, we are not just a digital marketing agency; we are a narrative of how conscientious commerce can harmoniously coexist with ambitious corporate aspirations. As Thailand’s pioneering Certified B Corporation™ agency, our ethos is simple: balance profit with purpose to catalyze an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy. This commitment is a profound journey we embark on every day, with every project, and with every partner we collaborate with.
Our journey to sustainability
Sustainability at PAPER & PAGE is our core narrative. The odyssey towards becoming Thailand’s first agency to earn a B Corp certification was anything but facile. As a team, we reevaluated and refined how we interact with clients, vendors, and each other. This certification is more than just a badge; it’s a compass that directs our operations toward broader social impact and environmental stewardship. Every decision is a meticulous effort aimed at nurturing a workspace that echoes with inspired choices. Our objective is clear: set a benchmark for socially responsible and sustainable marketing agencies, proving that a business can flourish while upholding a robust sustainability agenda.
Partnering with ClimatePartner

Our quest for creating a tangible impact led us to align forces with ClimatePartner, a vanguard in marrying corporate endeavors with climate action. Originating from Munich in 2006, ClimatePartner embarked on a mission to render the path to sustainability straightforward for businesses, a vision we deeply resonate with. This collaboration is a testament to what can be achieved when shared objectives meet shared values.
ClimatePartner elucidates how innovation is the cornerstone in developing technologies that mitigate greenhouse gas emissions. “Innovation plays an important role in driving the development of new technologies that help reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This is particularly important when we plan and implement climate projects or advise our customers on how to reduce emissions,” ClimatePartner shared. This sentiment is crucial as we strategize and execute projects or counsel our clients on reducing emissions. “We engage in dialogue with other stakeholders. It is important to stay in constant contact to achieve the best possible outcome for our climate,” emphasized ClimatePartner on the essence of collaborating with various stakeholders including governments, NGOs, and local communities to ensure the fruition of climate goals. This inclusive approach aligns with our essence, manifesting through our support for carbon offset projects like the Biochar Phrao Thailand project.
This partnership is ultimately a confluence of shared aspirations aiming for a future where businesses are not just profit-driven, but purpose-driven. It’s about creating a narrative that sustainability and business are not parallel paths, but a singular journey towards a greener, inclusive tomorrow.
Supporting the Biochar Phrao Thailand Project

Embarking on a journey toward a carbon-negative footprint by 2027, our alliance with ClimatePartner led us to support the Biochar Phrao Thailand project. This endeavor addresses Thailand’s pressing environmental challenge — the burning of agricultural waste, a practice that releases harmful greenhouse gases and significantly impacts the nation’s air quality.
The Biochar initiative is a beacon of sustainable agriculture, turning agricultural waste into biochar — a permanent carbon sink with multifaceted applications in water filtration, medicine, and soil health. More than merely about carbon offsetting, it’s an emblem of sustainable agriculture that underscores our commitment as a ClimatePartner.
Community-based climate action is essential
Climate action is a community endeavor. As ClimatePartner emphasizes, “Education is key. Only when we understand the causes of climate change can we take action.” Our alliance with ClimatePartner amplifies this, focusing on education as a linchpin for understanding the climate crisis and driving positive behavioral change. Through efforts like the free ClimatePartner Academy, ClimatePartner aims to foster a well-informed community, capable of identifying emission drivers and taking decisive action.
Our mission transcends marketing excellence to encapsulate community empowerment, ensuring that the narrative of sustainability and climate action reverberates at the grassroots level. It’s about crafting a narrative of collective responsibility and action, transcending the conventional corporate-social responsibility paradigm.
Practical sustainability in digital marketing

In an era where digital footprints are as significant as carbon footprints, infusing sustainability into digital marketing is imperative. Drawing insights from ClimatePartner, it’s clear that the journey begins with employee awareness. ClimatePartner advises, “Employees should also be involved in climate protection in their daily working environment. It starts with small things like: encourage recycling, choosing electronic devices with replaceable parts to extend the life of the device… reduce the amount of video and/or animation that plays automatically, optimize online advertising to improve load time.”
Each action, no matter how small, echoes our commitment to reducing our digital carbon footprint. It’s about fostering a culture where sustainability is not an afterthought but ingrained in every project we undertake, every campaign we launch, and every digital interaction we engage in. Incorporating ClimatePartner’s recommendations, we are on a path to redefine digital marketing and also set a benchmark for how sustainability and digital innovation can harmoniously coexist to drive business success and positive societal impact.
Looking ahead
As we gaze into the horizon, the words of Barack Obama echo: “We are the first generation to feel the effects of climate change, and the last generation that can do something about it.” The journey ahead is long, but with partners like ClimatePartner, we tread on solid ground towards achieving our carbon-negative goal by 2027.
ClimatePartner’s objective to support as many companies as possible on their path to climate action resonates with our vision. We too, aim to amplify our impact, set new benchmarks in sustainable digital marketing, and continue to inspire our partners, clients, and the wider community to join the crusade for a greener tomorrow.
We invite you to join us on this exhilarating journey, as we continue to share our milestones, learnings, and the stories of those we collaborate with, in our quest for a sustainable and inclusive business landscape.
