As part of the B Corp movement, PAPER & PAGE is committed to transforming the global economy to benefit all people, communities, and the planet. In the 🌏 B Corp Spotlight 🔦 series, we talk to other Certified B Corporations that are changing the rules of the game here in Southeast Asia.
This time, we spoke to Daniel Lindgren, Founder and CEO of Rapid Asia, a pioneering research and consulting firm dedicated to driving positive social changes across Asia. Lindgren talks about their work in the social development field and how the B Corp certification helped them in rethinking for the better.

P&P: What motivated you to explore the B Corp certification?
Daniel Lindgren: Unlike many other certifications, B Corp is noteworthy, and the fact that it is not that easy to obtain adds value. Rapid Asia works with social development issues, so obtaining the certification was totally appropriate.
P&P: What internal changes did your company make to become certified?
DL: There were several changes made to update some policies and also to introduce some new work systems. For example, we revised our travel policy to be more carbon-friendly.
P&P: How has B Corp benefited your company?
DL: Going through the process was useful in itself as it forced us to rethink how we do certain things and improve further.
P&P: How has the certification affected employee recruitment?
DL: Since Rapid Asia already works in the social development field, it is unlikely that the certification has affected recruitment per se. However, it certainly helps to solidify our position within the sector.

P&P: Has it changed the way you approach clients or consider vendors?
DL: We make sure to include the B Corp logo on all communication materials to signal that Rapid Asia has this certification.
P&P: Do you have any recommendations for other businesses looking to explore this certification?
DL: Go for it!
P&P: Is there anything else you would like to add?
DL: I sometimes ask people whether they have heard about B Corp. Not everyone is aware, but it seems that awareness is increasing, and the certification is becoming more recognized.
