THE CLIENT
CHILD’S DREAM FOUNDATION (CD) is a charitable, nonprofit association registered in Switzerland and operating across the CMLT countries of Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, and Thailand.
Building upon our existing partnership and taking into consideration our experience in the social impact arena, the Foundation worked with PAPER & PAGE to produce an animated video series to raise brand awareness of the organization and explain the nonprofit’s impact on health and education.

THE PROBLEM
THE PROBLEM
THE PROBLEM
The first explainer video had to cover the most ground. It must include the Foundation’s vision & mission statements; the cross-cutting social themes that it addresses; its unique value proposition, and its impact on the region.
In our discussions with Child’s Dream, they spoke extensively about the tone of the videos and how their beneficiaries are depicted. While the videos needed to resonate with the good will of potential donors, they must never appear to be emotionally exploitative.

THE SOLUTION
THE SOLUTION
In close collaboration with the Foundation, we developed
a storyboard that starts with a central protagonist
— a young Southeast Asian boy — to humanize the beneficiaries of
CD’s health & education projects.

a storyboard that starts with a central protagonist
— a young Southeast Asian boy — to humanize the beneficiaries of
CD’s health & education projects.

By framing the boy’s hopes and the obstacles he and his peers face, we were then able to introduce the Child’s Dream team and how their efforts empower him to contribute meaningfully to a more sustainable future.
Taking advantage of the medium, our animation team used a mix of abstract and concrete imagery to communicate the relationship between health, education, and social development. They also found different and engaging ways to transition between scenes, maintaining a brisk pace despite the length of the video. The voice-over and subtitles were made available in English and German to better reflect the target audience.

The client’s logo colors were consistently used throughout
the video to reinforce their brand.

Child’s Dream has proudly shared the explainer video on its website
and social media platforms, including Facebook, LinkedIn, and
YouTube. Through these channels, it has reached a diverse audience,
spreading awareness and generating support for the Foundation. We
continue to develop animated explainers in support of
the great work they do.
